Pyrogallic Acid CAS NO.87-66-1
As one of the aromatic compounds, It is a very strong reducing agent. The first person to make it was Karl William Scheele, who was heated by gallic acid in 1786. Even benzene three phenol in the alkaline solution will absorb moisture, from colorless to purple. It can also absorb oxygen. Its uses include photographic developer, hair dye, dyeing, absorption of oxygen and fungicides in gas analysis and experiments.
